POS Operation Guide

Comprehensive manual for operating the Point of Sale system, covering daily workflows, advanced payment features, and hardware interactions.

1 Daily Start-Up

Hardware Check

  • Ensure Receipt Printer is powered on and has paper.
  • Verify Cash Drawer is closed and locked.
  • Check Barcode Scanner connection (USB/Bluetooth).
Tip: Look for the Green Status light on the printer widget (bottom-right).

System Entry

1. Log in with your Manager or Staff account.

2. Select your Branch (if assigned to multiple).

3. Navigate to the POS tab from the main menu.

2 Processing Sales

Adding Items

📷 Barcode Scan

Scan the product barcode directly. The item will be added to the cart instantly.

Smart Scan: The system automatically strips 'AA' prefixes if your scanner adds them.

👆 Touch Selection

Browse categories (e.g., Drinks, Food) and tap product cards to add them.

Tap multiple times to increase quantity.

🔍 Search

Type name or barcode in the search bar.

Results update in real-time. Keyboard shortcut: `/` (forward slash) to focus search (if available).

Managing the Cart

Edit Quantity

Click the quantity number (e.g., 'x1') on any cart item. A numpad will appear. Enter the new quantity and confirm. Setting to 0 removes the item.

Bill Discount

Click the Discount button at the bottom of the cart.

Supports Percentage (%) or Fixed Amount (āļŋ) discounts. Applied to the subtotal.

Remove Item

Click the Remove button or set quantity to 0.

3 Payment & Checkout

Cash Payment ðŸ’ĩ

The default payment method.

Quick Amount Buttons:
Exact Next 20 Next 100 Next 500

Useful for fast entry without typing.

Change Breakdown:

The system automatically calculates change and suggests the best breakdown of notes and coins (e.g., '1x 500, 2x 20').

PromptPay QR ðŸ“ą

Select PromptPay to generate a dynamic QR code.

  • QR contains exact amount.
  • Customer scans with any Banking App.
  • Check Customer Display (if active) for QR mirroring.
Note: Requires 'Payment Settings' to be configured in the admin panel with a valid PromptPay ID (Phone/Tax ID).

Keyboard Shortcuts (Payment Screen)

⮅ïļ Left Arrow: Cash ➡ïļ Right Arrow: PromptPay ⏎ Enter: Confirm

4 Troubleshooting

ðŸ”ī Printer Not Printing

  • Check if the printer status widget (bottom-right) is Green.
  • If Red, click the widget to open Printer Settings and try 'Reconnect'.
  • Ensure the printer has paper and the lid is fully closed.

🟠 Virtual Keyboard Not Showing

  • Go to Settings > General.
  • Toggle 'Enable Virtual Keyboard' to ON.
  • The keyboard supports both Thai (Kedmanee) and English layouts.
